Der Banjo-Spieler und Sänger Clancy Hayes ist wohl bei zwei Generationen sehr bekannt, die sich noch an die Hit-Aufnahme des Bob Scobey's Frisco Jazz Band erinnern. Als er im Plugged Nickel in Chicago erschien, entschied er sich, diese Platte mit den Original Salty Dogs als Begleitband zu machen. Wie ein besonderer Jahrgang Wein wurde Clancy Hayes mit den Jahren immer besser. Diese zeitlose Musik lässt kein Bein stillstehen - sie zwingt zum Mitmachen. Die Salty Dogs sind heute immer noch aktiv und feiern demnächst ihr 50-jähriges Jubiläum. Die Besetzung für diese Aufnahme von 1964 Lew Green (com.), Jim Dapogny (corn., tb), Jim Snyder (tb), Kim Cusack (c1), Johnny Cooper (p), Mike Walbridge (tuba) und Wayne Jones (dr).
