Kenny Vonnegut's short story "Harrison Bergeron" is set in the year 2081. It depicts a dystopian future in which everyone is finally equal. I wanted to be able to tell a love story within the world Vonnegut created: some of it in the third person, some from the standpoint of the different characters, and some of my own ideas that were external to the novella but very much in that theme.
