Die Rückkehr der fantastischen Crusaders hat schon vor Monaten Schlagzeilen gemacht, nun ist es da, das Album "Rurual Renewal", das die Gruppe nach 20 Jahren wieder in die Charts zurück beamen wird und zwar in der Originalbesetzung von früher: Joe Sample (kbds), Wilton Felder (ts), Stix Hooper (d), Steve Baxter (tb) und Produzent Steward Levine. Eine Reihe von Stargästen ist dabei, vorab Eric Clapton (g, e-g), Ray Parker jr. (g), Donnie McClurkin (voc) und als Background Vocals die "Sounds Of Blackness"
